Auxiliary Cabin Heater Control Module: Service and Repair

AR83.70-P-0003Q Remove/Install Telestart Receiver
- with CODE (228) Stationary heater or retrofitted stationary heater
- with Telestart T70







Inspect
1 Check STH radio remote control transmitter (A8/3)

Remove/install
2 Remove paneling on left side in trunk

DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

3 Disconnect ground cable of battery
4 Disconnect antenna line (1)
5 Disconnect connector (2)
6 Remove STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1) upward
7 Install in the reverse order
8 Perform basic programming
9 Program STH radio remote control transmitter (A8/3)
10 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
11 Switch on STH heater unit (A6) with STH radio remote control transmitter (A8/3)

NOTE: If the circulation pump (A6m1) and the combustion air blower of the STH heater unit (A6) start to run and STH fuel metering pump (Y23) starts the delivery, switch off STH heater unit (A6).
