- with CODE (855) TELE AID
- except CODE (498) Japan version
- except CODE (491) USA version

The CTEL and TELE AID transmitter/receiver, D2B (A35/17) receives the following message from the restraint systems control unit (N2/7):
^ Standby
^ Test signal for checking function
^ Head-on collision, seat belt emergency tensioning retractors activated
^ Rear end collision, seat belt emergency tensioning retractors activated
^ Head-on collision, airbag deployed
^ Side collision, sidebag deployed
^ Side collision, windowbag deployed

After TELE AID has been switched on, the CTEL and TELE AID transmitter/receiver, D2B (A35/17) awaits a ready message. If this has not been received even after 30 s, the status display in the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) lights up and the fault is entered in the fault memory.

Messages of readiness arriving later are nevertheless accepted (the status display then goes out again). After the ready message has been received, the CTEL and TELE AID transmitter/receiver, D2B (A35/17) awaits a further ready confirmation every 500 ms. If no such message is received for more than 3 s, the status display in the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) lights up and the fault is stored in the fault memory of the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17). Later incoming messages are still received A TELE AID emergency call is automatically activated by the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17), if a crash message is received twice within 1 s. With a single crash message, the state display in the SOS pushbutton (S93/3) lights up. An entry is made into the fault memory of the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17). Messages arriving after that are still being received.
