GF82.95-P-2006QJ Voice Connection Of Vehicle, Function
- with CODE (349) E Call emergency call system
- with CODE (498) Japanese version
After the rescue headquarters (police, fire department etc.) has received an emergency call, a radio connection is set up to the vehicle to interview passengers or persons involved. This allows rescue measures to be started depending on the actual severity of the accident.
The radio traffic between the vehicle and the responsible rescue center is accomplished via the vehicle telephone system.
This is done by way of the CTEL antenna (A2/22) and the E-call control module (A35/8).
If the telephone antenna no longer functions as a result of an accident it is automatically switched over to the EMERGENCY CALL substitute antenna (A2/50).
The voice link is established via the handsfree system microphone (B25) and the emergency call system speakers (H4/46, H4/47).
The voice connection must exist for at least 30 seconds. If it is interrupted during this time, the call connection is repeated.
