- with CODE (855) TELE AID
- except CODE (498) Japan version
- except CODE (491) USA version
After the management center (e.g. police, fire department, German Red Cross) has received a TELE AID emergency call, a radio connection is established to the vehicle to interview vehicle occupants or persons involved. This allows rescue measures to be started depending on the actual severity of the accident. The radio connection between the vehicle and the responsible service center is completed in the vehicle via the telephone system. If the telephone antenna (A2/22) no longer functions due to a defect, it is automatically switched over to the emergency call system left backup antenna (A2/54) and emergency call system right backup antenna (A2/55).
If the power supply has collapsed (battery interruption), the system switches over automatically to the additional battery (G1/1).
The voice connection is completed over the hands-free system microphone (B25) and the emergency call system loudspeakers or the hands-free system.
