GF82.95-P-2005QM Emergency Call Telegram Transmission, Function
- with CODE (359) TELE AID emergency call system
- TELE AID emergency call

In the event of an emergency call, in addition to active telephone connections, active service calls (MB-Info or roadside assistance call) are also interrupted. The emergency call system control unit (N123/4) transmits the emergency call telegram to the nearest emergency call center, and, at the same time, it establishes a telephone connection to the emergency call center. If the emergency call was started automatically and the connection to the emergency call center was not possible, a telephone connection is automatically established to the police emergency phone number "911". In this case, no emergency call data are transmitted. The emergency call data must then be communicated verbally. This process can be configured for manual calls.

The emergency call system must be authorized to transmit an emergency call telegram.

Normally the telephone connections are handled over the telephone antenna (A2/22) (model 209.4, model 209.3 up to 31.5.06) or over the telephone antenna (A2/49a1) (model 209.3 as of 1.6.06), which is located on the roof.

In the event that the telephone antenna (A2/22 or A2/49a1) is defective, the emergency call system control unit (N123/4) actuates the emergency call system left backup antenna (A2/54) and the emergency call system right backup antenna (A2/55) in the rear bumper over the emergency call system antenna splitter (A2/25).
