Once an emergency call is triggered an emergency call telegram is automatically generated by the E-call control unit (A35/8).

It includes the following information:
^ Vehicle location
^ Type of emergency call triggering (automatic or manual)
^ Crash parameters from the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) and the tilting cone sensor (B66)
^ Code number for identifying the vehicle
^ Time of emergency call

The emergency call telegram is passed on to the E-call center via mobile phone.

Up to 3 prepared emergency call telegrams are stored in the E-call control unit (A35/8). If more than 3 emergency call telegrams have already been stored, then in each case the oldest telegram is overwritten.
