After an emergency call is actuated, an emergency call telegram is automatically generated by the E-call control module (A35/8). It includes the following information:
^ Vehicle location
^ Type of emergency call triggering: automatic or manual using the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3)
^ Crash-Parameters from restraint systems control module (N2/7) and from tilting cone sensor (B66)
^ Identification number for identifying vehicle
^ Time of emergency call

The emergency call telegram is relayed to the E-CALL center via mobile telephone.

Up to three prepared emergency call telegrams are stored in the E-call control module (A35/8). If more than three emergency call telegrams have been stored the oldest telegram is written over.
