GF82.95-P-2003QU Emergency Call Actuation Function
- with CODE (349) E Call emergency call system
An Emergency-Call emergency call can be triggered manually or automatically.
Manually:
^ via the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3)
^ For diagnosis purposes with STAR DIAGNOSIS
Automatically:
^ Via the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) in the event of airbag triggering or a severe rear end collision.
^ When the tilting cone sensor (B66) in the E-call control unit (A35/8) records a rollover
Voice connection
After the conversation between person involved in the accident and the rescue headquarters (police, fire department etc. ) has finished, the voice connection is maintained by an employee of the E-Call center. It can only be terminated by the person involved in the accident himself
Emergency call priority
The information, as to which type of emergency call has been triggered, is entered in the emergency call telegram generated by the E-Call control unit (A35/8).
The types of actuation have various priorities:
^ Highest priority: Automatic emergency call
^ Lowest priority: Manual emergency call with SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3)
If, when an emergency call is triggered an emergency call of higher priority is already active, this call is brought to a conclusion. The emergency call with the lower priority is not started.
If an emergency call with lower priority is already active when triggering, this call is interrupted and the emergency call with the higher priority is started.
