A TELE AID emergency call can be actuated manually or automatically.
Manually:
^ With the aid of the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3s1), if the vehicle is not involved itself in an accident or the driver requires help.
^ For diagnostic purposes by means of STAR DIAGNOSIS
Automatically:
^ Via the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) when an airbag/ sidebag is deployed or in the event of a severe rear end collision
^ When the external tilting cone sensor (B66) recognizes a rollover and transmits it to the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17)
A TELE AID emergency call is completed when the service center terminates the voice connection.
A TELE AID emergency call can only be actuated in case of emergency. During an emergency call is it not possible to operate the telephone system.
Emergency call priority
The information how an emergency call is triggered is entered into the emergency call telegram generated by the telephone transmitter/receiver and TELE AID, D2B (A35/17) . The types of actuation have various priorities.
Priorities
^ automatic alarm call
^ manual alarm call with SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3)
^ telediagnosis call with telediagnosis pushbutton switch at the telephone handset (A34)
^ MB-Info via a corresponding menu at the telephone handset (A34)
If an emergency call with higher priority is already active when an emergency call is actuated, this active call is terminated. The emergency call with the lower priority is not started. If an emergency call with lower priority is already active when triggering, this call is interrupted and the emergency call with the higher priority is started.
