Crank engine with starter
DANGER:
- Risk of accident. Accidents may result if the vehicle starts off unintentionally with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during start-up or while running may result in contusions and burns.
- Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
1 Switch off ignition.
NOTE: Ignition key (1) in steering wheel (A) must be in position "0".
2 Connect compression tester (2).
3 Crank engine.
NOTE: In addition operate contact switch (3) of compression tester (2).
4 Install in the reverse order.
5 Read out fault memory with STAR DIAGNOSIS and erase if necessary.
NOTE: Stored faults which can result from cables being disconnected or from simulation during removal and installation or test work, have to be erased in the fault memories after completing the work, otherwise the control module may output falsified values.
