GF83.57-P-2119-01Q Ambient Temperature Display Temperature Sensor, Function
Function
The resistance of the outside temperature display temperature sensor (B14) depends on the ambient temperature and the ground speed. The current resistance value is relayed via the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and the CAN- class B to the AAC control and operating module (N22) or the comfort AAC control and operating module (N22/7), which slightly readjusts the set temperature.
As a result of the dependence of the outside temperature on speed and when the vehicle is stationary or being driven slowly, an excessive temperature, caused e.g. by thermal radiation of the engine, is prevented from being relayed to the AAC control and operating module (N22) or the comfort AAC control and operating module (N22/7).
When switching the ignition on and off and at speeds below 20 km/h, the temperature measured last is used.
At ignition OFF, the last ambient temperature used for the control operation is stored.
