GF83.70-P-3066A Activate Heater With Stationary Heater Switch, Function
- with CODE (228) Stationary heater [models 203 up to 23.4.04, 209.3 up to 31.5.04, 215 as of 1.6.00 up to 31.8.02, 220 as of 1.6.00 up to 31.8.02, 230.4 up to 08]

Component Identification:

Function requirements:
^ Circuit 15 OFF

Function sequence
1. The STH switch (N72s12 or S46) has been pressed for longer than 2 s and the "stationary heater On" signal has been activated.

2. The "stationary heater On" signal is forwarded straight to the STH control unit or the STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1).

3. The STH control unit or the STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1) recognizes the cut-in signal, it activates the stationary heater menu in the instrument cluster (A1) over CAN-B (CANB) and then simultaneously starts the heat or ventilate inquiry in the control and operating unit (N18, N22 or N22/7).

4. The control and operating unit (N18, N22 or N22/7) compares the current interior temperature with the preset temperature value.

5.1. If the interior temperature is less than the preselected temperature value, the control and operating unit (N18, N22 or N22/7) sends the "heat" signal over CAN-B (CAN-B) to the STH control unit or the STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1) and switches to the stationary heater mode.
The STH control unit or the STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1) actuates STH heater unit or STH or HB [ZUH] heater unit (A6) operation. The indicator lamp in the STH switch (N72s12 or S46) indicates whether heater operation is active by flashing on and off.

5.2. If the interior temperature is higher than the preselected temperature value, the control and operating unit (N18, N22 or N22/7) sends the "ventilate" signal over CAN-B (CAN-B) to the STH control unit or the STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1) and switches to the stationary ventilation mode.
The STH control unit or the STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1) actuates the stationary ventilation and sends the "blower On" signal to the control and operating unit (N18, N22 or N22/7). The indicator lamp in the STH switch (N72s12 or S46) displays the actuation of the stationary ventilation by flashing on and off.

Circuit 15 ON
^ With the ignition switched on, a heat or ventilate inquiry is started in the control and operating unit (N18, N22 or N22/7) by the STH control unit or the STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1) after heater operation has been actuated, as with the ignition switched off.
^ In this instance, the control and operating unit (N18, N22 or N22/7) monitors the STH control unit or STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1) signal, it then always replies with the "heat" signal and then continues with its standard operating mode.
^ When the ignition is switched off and heater operation still active, the recorded signal induces an automatic change of mode for the control and operating unit (N18, N22 or N22/7). The control and operating unit (N18, N22 or N22/7) then switches into the stationary heating or stationary ventilation mode to match the interior temperature. It is no longer necessary for the signal to be issued again by the STH control unit or the STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1).
