Removal and Replacement




AR54.25-P-2803Q Remove/Install Cruise Control Switch
- with CODE (440) Cruise control







DANGER!
Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.


1 Disconnect ground cable of battery

CAUTION!
Do not connect quiescent current retention unit as this may cause disturbance to the control module.


2 Remove steering angle sensor
3 Remove cruise control switch (S40/4) from steering column module (N80)
4 Install in the reverse order
5 Perform basic programming
6 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
7 Check for proper function
