Remove/Install Front Brake Control Cable

Remove/Install

DANGER:
- Lethal injuries are possible if vehicle slips off of lifting platform
- Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

1 Raise vehicle with lifting platform
2 Remove cover panel below rear seat cushion
3 Loosen adjusting nut (89)
4 Detach brake cable (85) at intermediate lever (91) and detach at intermediate lever housing using snap-release tool (043)
5 Remove front left floor covering
6 Remove cover below instrument panel
7 Detach cover (71a) of parking brake pedal (75)
8 Detach brake cable (85) from parking brake pedal (75)
9 Remove heat shield of exhaust system.
10 Unclip brake cable (85) and remove

NOTE: Destroy clips that are difficult to move when removing cable.

11 Install in the reverse order

Inspecting
12 Check version of pedal assembly


13 Adjust parking brake
