Function
The driver seat position in the driver front seat adjustment control unit with memory and easy entry (N32/1) is stored dependent upon the key, in other words three memory positions can be stored for each transmitter key (A8/1).

The electronic ignition switch control unit (N73) converts the currently used key track (dependent on transmitter key (A8/1)) into a memory block number. If key dependency is enabled, there is a standard assignment between the key track, the storage block number and the memory area. It is transmitted cyclically via the Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B).

If key-dependency is switched off in the instrument cluster (A1), all the settings are assigned to memory block number 3. If the key-dependency is switched off, the EIS control unit (N73) transmits only the memory block number 3.

The following settings are stored depending upon the key:
^ Driver's seat position
^ Steering column position
^ outside rearview mirror position
^ mirror park position
^ Air conditioning settings
^ Adjustments in instrument cluster (A1)
