GF91.29-P-2014Q Easy Entry/Exit Feature Driver Seat, Function
- with CODE (275) Electrically adjustable driver seat, steering column and exterior mirrors with memory.
- up to 31.5.05

Component Identification:

Function requirements
^ Function activated in instrument cluster
^ No overvoltage/undervoltage
^ Transmitter key withdrawn or
^ open driver door with circuit 15R or
^ open driver door with circuit 15C or
^ Driver door opened with transmitter key not in ignition

Function
In order to ease getting in and out of the vehicle, the driver seat is moved back by 60 mm to the easy entry/exit position. The movement to the easy entry/exit position is initiated by the specified changes in state of the transmitter key in the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) and by the left door contact switch (S17/3).

For this purpose, the following information from the driver front seat adjustment control unit with memory and easy entry (N32/1) is read in and processed via CAN-B (CAN):
^ Status of the left door contact switch (S17/3) from the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)
^ Terminal status from EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)
^ Easy entry/exit activated in the instrument cluster
^ Operations on the left door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2) of the left door control unit (N69/1)

If all the conditions have been met and no abort conditions have occurred during actuation, the fore/aft motor (M27m1) is actuated via the driver front seat adjustment control unit with memory and easy entry (N32/1), which moves the driver seat to the easy entry/exit position.

When the driver door is closed again after entering, the seat is moved forward to the driving position. The seat assumes the previous seat position setting.

Abort
^ For manual adjustment request of the seat position via the left door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2)
^ For manual adjustment request via the steering column adjustment switch.
^ Memory request via the left door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2).
^ Fore/aft adjustment of driver seat denormalized
^ Hall sensor on fore/aft motor (M27m1) defective

Repetition safeguard
Repeatedly inserting and removing the transmitter key causes the equipment to move between the easy entry/exit positions and the driving positions every time. To prevent this, the number of cycles is limited to 5. The counter is reset when:
^ the transmitter key is turned to circuit 15R or
^ if the status of the driver door changes.
