GF77.20-P-3002Q Tilting/Sliding Roof Normalization, Function
GF77.20-P-3002Q Tilting/Sliding Roof Normalization, Function
- with CODE (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof
Normalization must be performed whenever denormalization has taken place.
Denormalization takes place:
^ if circuit 30 is OFF,
^ if the tilting/sliding roof exceeds the defined motion range by 25 rotations of the SR motor (M12m1),
^ if Hall sensor 1 (M12b1) or Hall sensor 2 (M12b2) fail for more than 160 ms
(despite tilting/sliding roof reversing),
^ if the sequence determined for the signals from Hall sensor 1
(M12b1) or Hall sensor 2 (M12b2) is faulty,
^ with Hall undervoltage and emergency opening.
Denormalized state
The titling/sliding roof position is not known. The tilting/sliding roof can only be moved by actuating the SR switch (N70s1). To indicate that it is denormalized and to avoid strain on the mechanical limit stop in the tilting/sliding roof open position, the SR motor (M12m1) is actuated in the opening direction for approx. 0.3 s only. After this, the SR switch (N70s1) must again be actuated in the opening direction.
Normalization (vehicles up to model year 08 /YoM 07)
Open tilting roof with SR switch (N70s1) until the mechanical stop is reached and continue to actuate SR switch (N70s1). The overhead control panel control unit (N70) continues to actuate the SR motor (M12m1) and sets the location counter to zero, if lockup of the SR motor (M12m1) has been recognized for min. 0.5 s.
Before reaching the lock-up position, at least three signal edges must have been recognized by Hall sensor 1 (M12b1) and Hall sensor 2 (M12b2).
The titling/sliding roof is now in the synchronized state. This means that during automatic opening and closing of the titling/sliding roof, the overhead control panel control unit (N70) can now switch off the SR motor (M12m1) before the mechanical limit stop is reached.
Synchronization cannot be performed using the convenience opening, convenience closing and automatic opening/closing functions because these are not possible in the desynchronized state.
Normalizing (vehicles as of model year 09 /YoM 08 with code (494) USA version or code (460) Canada version)
