GF77.20-P-2002Q Close Tilting/Sliding Roof, Function
- with CODE (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof

Component Identification:

Function requirements
^ No overvoltage or undervoltage and
^ terminal 15 ON or
^ Circuit 15 ON and
^ The overhead control panel control unit (N70) recognizes the non-actuated state before actuating the SR switch (N70s1) (SR switch (N70s1) not actuated longer than 40 ms).

Manual closing function
The titling/sliding roof can be closed with the SR switch (N70s1). Close the sliding roof manually by pressing SR switch (N70s1) forward to the catch point, the pop-up roof can be closed manually by pulling the SR switch (N70s1) down at the front to the catch point. During manual closing, the SR motor (M12m1) is actuated by the overhead control panel control unit (N70) only as long as the SR switch (N70s1) is actuated in the "closing" direction and the end position of the tilting/sliding roof is not recognized.

Automatic closing function (except vehicles as of model year 09 /YoM 08 with code (494) USA version or code (460) Canada version)
The sliding roof can be closed automatically by pushing the SR switch (N70s1) forward beyond the catch point, the pop-up roof can be closed automatically by pulling the SR switch (N70s1) downward at the front beyond the catch point.

Automatic closing is interrupted:
^ the titling/sliding roof is completely closed or
^ in the case of a new adjustment request from SR switch (N70s1) or
^ when pinching is recognized

The excess force limitation feature is active only during the automatic closing operation.

After circuit 15 OFF or circuit 15R OFF and doors kept closed, the tilting/sliding roof can be opened and closed with the SR switch (N70s1) for another 5 minutes. The valid status (door open or door closed) is transmitted by the left door contact switch (S17/3) and right door contact switch (S17/4) to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2), which relays the information via the interior CAN (CAN B).

When a door is opened, it is no longer possible to actuate the tilting/sliding roof using the SR switch (N70s1).
