CD Changer Skipping During Playback, Radio Not Recognizing Magazine Insertion or
Loading Compact Disks From The Magazine / Radio States "No CD Changer"

If you encounter instances of radio states "no CD changer", CD changer skipping, radio not recognizing magazine insertion or loading compact disks from the CD magazine, check the two mechanical spring tension settings on the sides of the CD changer. The spring tension should be set to H for horizontal position on all 203 C-Class, 209 CLK and 463 G-wagon. All other models should be set to V for vertical position. For more information, consult the vehicle CD changer installation instruction.

Note:
There may be vehicles already in dealer inventory and in customer possession with VPC installed CD Changers that have improper spring tension settings.

All CD changers received in warranty with the incorrect setting will be returned to the dealer and the corresponding claim will be debited. These decisions are final and no appeal is possible.
