The trunk lid can be opened and closed automatically via various control points.
Opening and closing is accomplished by a drive unit installed on the left trunk lid hinge
During the closing procedure, close trunk lid until it catches in the lock The power locking unit then closes the trunk lid completely.
The remote trunk locking must be resynchronized following repair work on the drive unit (replacement of parts) and disconnecting the battery with the STAR DIAGNOSIS.

Control elements:
^ Remote control key (A8/1)
- open trunk lid

^ Open/close trunk lid switch (S20/1s8)
- Open and close trunk lid

^ RTL button (S62/26)
- Close trunk lid

^ Trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8)
- Open trunk lid

Reduce trunk lid opening angle
An additional preset position for the trunk lid can be activated between the two switch-off positions for opening and closing.If required this can be activated as a new end position (maximum opening), to prevent damage to the trunk lid resulting from extending transport items (ski box, surfboard, etc.).

The "Trunk lid opening limit ON/OFF" can be activated in a submenu in the instrument cluster (A1).
To set the opening angle:
^ Select function "Settings" with system selection button (S110s3) on multi-function display (A1p13)
^ Select the setting to be changed with the forward and back scroll buttons (S110s1)
^ Set the desired value/setting for the trunk lid with the + and - buttons, setting specific functions and volume control (S111s1).
