GF80.50-P-3014Q Trigger Alarm With Panic Switch, Function
- with CODE (551) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW])
- with CODE (763) Radio remote control with panic switch
Component Identification:
Alarm actuation
Actuate panic alarm button (PANIC) on transmitter key (A8/1) for approx. 1 s.
The signal of the transmitter key (A8/1) is received on the vehicle and after the authorization code has been checked by the EIS control unit (N73) it is relayed rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) via CAN B (CAN). The rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) triggers a visual and acoustic alarm.
Alarm output
The alarm signal siren outputs an acoustic alarm regardless of the ATA status.
Parallel to this, a visual alarm is output
The panic alarm has priority over the ATA alarm. If both alarms are set off, the panic alarm is emitted.
Visual alarm
The alarm output is actuated by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2). The type of alarm and alarm duration are stored in the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module N10/2).
Interior illumination actuation
The interior illumination is switched on by the overhead control panel control unit (N70), without dimming, for the duration of the visual alarm.
Exterior lights actuation
The visual alarm is accomplished when the
^ the left taillamp and parking lamp and the right taillamp and parking lamp are actuated by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2),
^ left front fog lamp and right front fog lamp are actuated by the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module for the duration of a visual alarm.
Acoustic alarm
The acoustic alarm is output via the alarm signal siren.
Alarm duration
The alarm duration of the visual alarm is approx. 180 s.
The alarm duration of the acoustic alarm is approx. 185 s
Terminate alarm
Momentarily actuate panic alarm button (PANIC) on transmitter key (A8/1). The panic alarm is terminated when the EIS control unit (A8/1) is inserted into the EIS control unit (N73).
The panic alarm function and the duration of the alarm can be programmed via the STAR DIAGNOSIS.
