GF80.50-P-2003Q Deactivate Anti-Theft Alarm System, Function
- with CODE (551) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW])
The anti-theft alarm system (ATA) is deactivated by:
^ Unlocking vehicle with transmitter key (A8/1) or
^ Inserting transmitter key (A8/1) into EIS control unit (N73)
By transmitting the signals "Global unlocking" or "Selective unlocking" or by recognizing a valid transmitter key (A8/1) in the EIS control unit (N73), the ATA is deactivated by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and, if applicable, a triggered alarm interrupted.
Feedback after successful deactivation (only Netherlands and United States of America):
The alarm signal siren (H3/1) outputs an acoustic feedback by buzzing once.
Trunk lid remote control:
The trunk lid remote control function only partially disarms the ATA. The following components are ignored as alarm criteria:
^ Pawl rotary tumbler switch (S88/4),
^ ATA inclination sensor (B33) (as of 1.6.06 not United States of America and Japan)
Additionally with code (882) Interior monitoring (with ATA only):
^ Interior protection transmitter and receiver (A26/14) and
^ Interior protection transmitter and receiver (slave) (A26/15) (only model 209.4)
The remaining anti-theft alarm system (ATA) remains activated. After the trunk is closed, the ATA is reset to its state before opening.
