GF80.50-P-2002Q Activate Anti-Theft Alarm System, Function

GF80.50-P-2002Q Activate Anti-Theft Alarm System, Function
- with CODE (551) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW])

Function requirements:
^ Circuit 15C Off
^ Driver door closed

Completely activate anti-theft alarm system (ATA)
The ATA is activated by locking the vehicle with the transmitter key (A8/1) or by the relocking function.

The EIS control unit (N73) relays the corresponding signal via the Controller Area Network bus, class B (interior compartment) (CAN B) ) to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) which activates all alarm inputs of the ATA.

Self-activation (only B):
If the driver door is opened and closed again after removing the transmitter key (A8/1), the ATA activates automatically 2 minutes after the last door is closed, regardless whether the vehicle is locked.

Feedback after successful activation
^ The LED in the TS/IMS switch with ATA function display (N72/1s7) (up to 31.5.04) or in the TS OFF switch and ATA function indicator (N72/1s27) comes on (as of 1.6.04)
^ The alarm signal siren (H3/1) is actuated momentarily three times (buzzing sound) (only United States Of America as of 1.6.06 and Netherlands)

Notes on tow-away protection (as of 1.6.06 not with United States of America and Japan)
The tow-away protection is activated approx. 10 s after activating the ATA. If one or more doors or the trunk lid is open, the ATA inclination sensor (B33) is activated 10 s after the last door, the trunk lid or the engine hood is closed.

Notes on interior protection (with code (882) Interior monitoring (with ATA only))
On model 209.3 the interior protection (IRS) is activated approx. 30 s after the last door or the trunk lid is closed; on model 209.4, after approx. 40 s. Then engine hood can be open
The status of the interior protection transmitter and receiver (A26/14) and interior protection transmitter and receiver (slave) (A26/15) (only model 209.4) is checked by the overhead control panel control unit (N70). The alarm input is permitted only when the status check replies "OK".

Activate anti-theft alarm system without tow-away protection (as of 1.6.06 not with United States Of America and Japan)

Function requirement
^ Circuit 15 Off (Status circuit 15C or circuit 15R not relevant)
^ ATA not activated

Function
Actuation of the
^ TS/IMS switch with ATA function display (N72/1s7) (up to 31.5.04) or the
^ TS OFF switch and ATA function indicator (N72/1s27) (as of 1.6.04)

is read in by the upper control panel control unit (N72/1). The integrated LED's are actuated for approx. 2 (steady light). The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) transmits the request to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) via CAN B.
It then ignores the inclination sensor (B33) as an alarm input the next time the ATA is activated.

Activate anti-theft alarm system (ATA) without interior protection (with code (882) Interior monitoring (with ATA only))

Function requirements:
^ Circuit 15 Off (Status circuit 15C or circuit 15R not relevant)
^ ATA not activated

Function
Actuation of the
^ TS/IMS switch with ATA function display (N72/1s7) up to 31.5.04) or the
^ IMS OFF switch (N72/1s19) (as of 1.6.04)

is read in by the upper control panel control unit (N72/1).

The integrated LED's are actuated for approx. 2 s (flashing light). The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) transmits the request to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) via CAN B.
It then ignores the interior protection transmitter and receiver (A26/14) and the interior protection transmitter and receiver (slave) (A26/15) (only model 209.4) as an alarm input.
