Suspension Fluid Cooler: Service and Repair



Remove/Install Oil Cooler

Shown On Model 215:






DANGER:
- Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid.
- Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and eye protection.


CAUTION: See notes on installing hydraulic lines and hoses.

NOTE: See notes on active body control suspension.

1 Remove front section of engine cover
2 Unscrew bolt (9b) and remove clamping bracket (8)
3 Pull supply and return line out of oil cooler (9)

NOTE: Install new O-ring (9c).

- Check support ring (9d) for damage and replace if necessary.

4 Unscrew bolt (9a) and unhook oil cooler (9) from the tabs (arrows)
5 Install in the reverse order

DANGER:
- Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running Risk of injury as working around the engine during startup or while running may result in contusions and burns
- Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving off by itself.
- Wear closed and tight-fitting work clothes.
- Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.


6 Fill and bleed ABC system.
