AR67.20-P-2000M Remove/Install Rear Window
Remove
DANGER: Risk of injury from slipping when clamping blade in the multicutter and from glass splinters when cutting out glued windows
NOTE:
- Clamp blade in or out only when air supply is interrupted.
- Wear protective gloves and eye protection.
1 Prepare glue cartridge
2 Remove paneling on C-pillar
3 Disconnect electric connections for heated rear window from C-pillar and fasten to rear window with adhesive tape
4 Remove molding on rear window
5 Remove rubber spacers
6 Cut rear window out of with cutting blade

7 Remove rear window from body with suction cups
- See "Commercially Available Tools" below.
Install
8 Replace rubber spacers
NOTE: Do not remove protective foil
9 Replace rubber channel (2) at bottom of body flange
10 Prepare window for installation
11 Prepare body flange for installation of window
12 Line up rear window in the body opening
- See "Special Tools" below.
Distance between top edge of rear window and rear edge of roof - Dimension - A" 20 mm
13 Remove protective foil from rubber spacers
14 Open window in driver's door.
CAUTION: During curing time, this prevents the rear window from being pressed outward by the air pressure when the doors are closed
15 Apply glue
CAUTION: Install window within 10 minutes before adhesive force of glue starts to decrease
NOTE: Height of glue bead approx. 13 mm
- Betagun 2 K electric cartridge gun

16 Install rear window

17 Install molding on rear window
18 Connect electric connections for heated rear window on C-pillar
19 Install paneling on C-pillar
20 Clean rear window
