AR82.10-P-0004I Remove/Install Front Axle Level Sensors

Remove/install front axle level sensors

Shown On Model 220 AIRmatic:

CAUTION: Replace self-locking nuts and bolts

1 Remove front wheels
- Vehicles with AIRmatic (Code 489a)

2 Disconnect connectors at front left and right level sensors (B22/8, B22/9)
3 Unscrew nut (86c) on connecting rod (86) from front left and right level sensors (B22/8, B22/9)
- Nut, connecting rod to level sensor: 5 Nm

4 Unscrew nut (86b) on connecting rod (86) from upper wishbone (6) and remove connecting rod (86)
- Vehicles with AIRmatic (Code 489a)

NOTE: Installation: Attach connecting rod (86) to the outermost hole (f) on the upper wishbone (6)

- Nut, level sensor connecting rod to upper wishbone: 10 Nm

5 Unscrew bolts (86d) on retaining plate (86a) and remove front left and right level sensors (B22/8, B22/9)
- Bolt/nut of level sensor to retaining plate: 4 Nm

6 Install in the reverse order
7 After replacing the level sensors, calibrate vehicle level with Star Diagnosis (level calibration).
