Remove/Install Camber Strut
Shown On Model 220 With Airmatic:
DANGER:
- Risk of death. Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.
- Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
CAUTION:
- While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surface of all aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected
- See notes on self-locking nuts and bolts
1 Remove rear wheels
2 Remove rear axle brake caliper (111)
NOTE: Dangle rear axle brake caliper and hook to one side.
3 Remove brake disk (113)
4 Remove tension strut (3) from wheel carrier
NOTE: Push tension strut downwards when bolt is being pulled out of camber strut.
CAUTION: Installation: The rear-axle shaft must be horizontal when tightening the nut
5 Detach camber strut (2) from wheel carrier and rear axle carrier
CAUTION: Installation: The rear axle shaft must be horizontal when tightening the nuts
6 Install in the reverse order.
