Model 220 as of A137742 with Xenon Headlamp Unit Model 215 as of A007961 with Bi-Xenon Headlamp Unit

Warning Message In Instrument Cluster "Check Left Low Beam Lamp"

If you encounter instances in the above models where a warning message in the instrument cluster's multi-function display indicates "Check Left Low Beam Lamp", perform the following procedure.

1. Using Star Diagnosis perform a Short Test.

2. Once completed, select the right front SAM module and read the stored fault codes.

3. If code B1630 is present, select Control Unit Version and record the part number and software status.

4. Replace the SAM module if a different part number than 031 545 17 32 or a software status older than 20/01 is displayed.

Note:
If code B1630 is present and the low beam is operational and the vehicle is equipped with SAM module part number 031 545 17 32 or a newer version, do not replace or attempt other repair. Additional information will be provided as soon as possible.
