Rear Heater Core Temperature Sensor (Models with Rear A/C)

The heat exchanger temperature sensors measure the temperature of the heated air downstream of the rear heater core separately for the left and right sides.

The rear heat exchanger temperature sensors are temperature dependent resistors. The resistance values measured are transferred to the rear A/C pushbutton control module. Here a comparison is made between the values measured (actual values) and the temperatures set on the rear A/C pushbutton control module (left and right separately). From this comparison between the actual values and set values the rear A/C pushbutton control module calculates the opening time for the duovalves and actuates them separately for the left and right side.
