Rear Evaporator Temperature Sensor (Models with Rear A/C)

The evaporator temperature sensor measures the temperature of the rear A/C evaporator

The evaporator temperature sensor is located in the air flow behind the rear evaporator. It transfers the resistance value measured depending on the temperature at the evaporator to the rear A/C pushbutton control module.
At an evaporator temperature of 0 °C the refrigerant shutoff valve is actuated directly by the rear A/C pushbutton control module to close the rear refrigerant circuit to prevent the evaporator from icing up.
