AR67.10-P-1000M Remove/Install Windshield
Remove
DANGER:
- Risk of injury from slipping when clamping blade in the multicutter and from glass splinters when cutting out glued windows
- Always interrupt air supply when inserting or removing blade.
- Wear protective gloves and eye protection.
1 Prepare glue cartridge
2 Remove rain sensor
3 Unclip light sensor
4 Remove wiper arms
5 Remove water deflector
6 Disconnect electric connector (2) for heated window
7 Remove both panels from outside of A-pillar
8 Remove molding on windshield
9 Remove windshield with cutting blade

10 Remove windshield from body with suction cups
- See "Commercially Available Tools" below
Install
11 Replace rubber window spacers
NOTE: Do not remove protective foil
12 Align windshield in body opening
13 Prepare window for installation
14 Prepare body flange for installation of window
15 Remove backing foil from windshield rubber spacers.
16 Open side window in driver's door.
CAUTION: During curing time, this prevents the windshield from being pressed outward by the air pressure when the doors are closed
17 Smooth sealing channel with hand roller

18 Apply glue
CAUTION: Install window within 10 minutes before adhesive force of glue starts to decrease
NOTE: Height of glue bead approx. 13 mm
- Betagun 2K electric cartridge gun

19 Install windshield
NOTE: Curing time is approx. 1 hour, calculated from the time the windshield is installed.

20 Install windshield molding
21 Install both panels on outside of A-pillar
22 Install water deflector
23 Install wiper arms
24 Connect electric connector (2) for heated window
25 Install rain sensor
26 Clip in light sensor
27 Clean windshield.
Check and adjustment data of windshield
Distance between window upper edge and front edge of roof.
Dimension "A": 12 mm
