AR41.10-P-0200I Replacing Centering Sleeve



Centering Sleeve Replacement

Illustration Shows Front Propeller Shaft:

Remove/Install
1 Remove propeller shaft
2 Label front and rear propeller shaft (12) in relation to three or four-arm flange (arrows) and remove
- Check flexible coupling for damage and replace if necessary

NOTE: Replace self-locking nuts

3 Loosen fitted sleeves of flexible couplings
4 Remove front and rear flexible coupling (12)
5 Remove vibration damper (model 220.028/128) (20) from the rear propeller shaft (2)

NOTE: Installation: Mount vibration damper (model 220.028/128) (20) and propeller shaft as per labeling

6 Separate front propeller shaft (1) and rear propeller shaft (2) at the slide connection

NOTE: Installation: Assemble propeller shaft Coat splined profile with Molykote grease.

Inspect
7 Check centering sleeve (10) in front propeller shaft (1) and rear propeller shaft (2)

NOTE: If sealing lip in centering sleeve (10) is worn or damaged, the centering sleeve (10) can be replaced separately.

8 Remove centering sleeve (10)
- If necessary, after inspecting.

NOTE: Installation: Press in centering sleeve

9 Fill cavities of both centering sleeves with grease
10 Install in the reverse order.
