Alternator Pulley / Clutch: Service and Repair

Remove/install generator belt pulley












1 Remove generator
2 Unscrew collar nut (1)

NOTE: To hold shaft (2) tight, insert screwdriver bit through double hexagon wrench (4).

Screwdriver bit
- See "Special Tools" below.

- Collar nut to poly-V-belt pulley: 80 Nm

3 Remove ribbed V-belt pulley (3)

NOTE: When replacing alternators after mileages in excess of 100000 km, replace poly-V-pulley (3) at the same time.

4 Install in the reverse order.
