AR03.30-P-8001A Remove/Install Flywheel/Drive Plate



Remove, Install Flywheel/Driven Plate






1.1 Remove manual transmission
1.2 Remove automatic transmission
2 Remove clutch
3 Install retaining lock (03) for crankshaft/ring gear

CAUTION: Use M6 x 90 bolts otherwise the threads in the rear end cover will be damaged.

4 Unscrew bolts (1)


NOTE: Installation: If no torque angle wrench is available, the bolts (1) can be torqued further by the specified angle in a single operation using a wrench and tommy bar (10).

CAUTION: Do not use a flexi-torque wrench for tightening to torquing angles in order to avoid any angle errors.

5 Inspect bolts (stretch shank bolts) for flywheel/driven plate
6.1 Take off flywheel (96) or two-mass flywheel

NOTE: If manual transmission fitted

- A certain installation position is set by the straight pin (2).

NOTE: Flywheel, two-mass flywheel are balanced individually; they can be replaced without balancing.

6.2 Take off driven plate (98) and disks (3)

NOTE: If automatic transmission fitted

- A certain installation position is set by the straight pin (2).

NOTE: Driven plate is balanced, it can be replaced without balancing.

7 Install in the reverse order
8 Carry out re-initializing

NOTE: If the flywheel is replaced, carry out re-initializing in ME control module with Star Diagnosis in menu point "Control module adaptation".
