Function

To measure the position of the steering column, one Hall sensor respectively is located at both the longitudinal adjustment forward/ back motor (M20m1) and height adjustment up/down motor M20m2).

The Hall sensor signals are read in by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1), checked for plausibility and counted in the location counter for position measurement.

The received Hall pulses are evaluated as positive or negative according to the actuation voltage of the motor.
