GF40.10-P-1003PXA Overview of Winter Tires, Disk Wheels
- MODEL 203.0 /7 (except 203.065) with AMG disk wheel, up to and including model year 2002
The recommended wheel/tire combinations apply only when the dimensions are entered in the vehicle documents at the factory or when a corresponding part certification is present. In the case of tire/wheel combinations that are not entered in the vehicle documents/title, an appropriate parts certificate or approval certificate is to be handed to the customer.
All the wheel/tire combinations listed here may only be fitted without further authorization if they are listed in the vehicle documents under items 20 to 23 and 33 or when the necessary
Technical Inspection Association reports are available.
The rim size designation is mandatory only for the vehicle model series specified. Variations in the contour of the wheel or the brake system can cause these to scrape on adjacent components in other vehicle models even when the nominal dimensions are identical, and operational safety may therefore be adversely affected.
In the Federal Republic of Germany, any wheel/tire combinations which necessitate structural alterations to the body and/or chassis require an inspection by an officially approved expert or inspector from a technical motor vehicle inspectorate or by an engineer from an officially approved supervisory organization.
Unless otherwise specified, all disk wheels are permissible in light alloy versions only.
Unless otherwise specified, all wheel/tire combinations are approved for operation with snow chains.
The recommended tire makes are listed in alphabetical order. No suggestion of priority is intended.
