Sealing Coolant Pump






1 Remove coolant pump
2 Place puller (14) against impeller (5), tension

NOTE: Tension claws of puller (14) with sleeve, inner diameter 40 mm (shop-made) or suitable hose strap

3 Pull off impeller (5)
- If impeller (5) is tight, apply slight pressure to puller (14) when pulling off.

4 Pull off mating ring (3)
- With pliers

5 Press out cassette-type seal (4)

NOTE: Position screwdriver against circumference of cassette-type seal (4) to prise out of coolant pump (1).

CAUTION: Do not damage coolant pump (1), use clean rag as a base.

6 Install cassette-type seal (4)
7 Install in the reverse order
8 Check cooling system for leaks.
