Engine Oil and Filter Change
Danger!
Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping of toppling off the lifting platform.
Note: Align vehicle between the columns of the and position the four support plates below the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
Danger!
Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the running engine.
Note: Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
Note: Change the engine oil only when the engine is at operating temperature.
1. Replace oil filter element and empty oil filter. Oil Filter
2. Remove lower engine compartment paneling.
3. Unscrew oil drain screw and drain engine oil.
4. Screw in oil drain plug. Tighten oil drain plug to 30 Nm.
5. Pour in engine oil. Using specified and approved quality grades and viscosity classes conforming to SAE at enduring low outside temperatures.
6. Run engine and inspect for leaks.
7. Turn off engine.
8. Install lower engine compartment paneling.
9. Check engine oil level approximately 5 minutes after switching off the warm engine, if required adjust to correct level.
