AR83.25-P-1170PP Remove/Install/Replace Coolant Circulation Pump
- with CODE (670a) Residual engine heat utilization (REST)
- except CODE (228) Stationary heater
- with CODE (874) Coolant circulation pump
- with CODE (580a) Automatic air conditioning
- with CODE (581b) Convenience automatic air conditioning

DANGER:
- Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.
- Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.
- Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.


1 Open engine hood
2 Reduce pressure in cooling system
3 Pinch off coolant hoses (4)
- See "Special Tools" given below.

4 Disconnect connector (1) from coolant circulation pump (M13)
5 Remove hose clamps (2) from fitting
- Hose clamp pliers (length 210 mm; tensioning range 80 mm)

6 Remove coolant circulation pump (M13) from coolant expansion reservoir (4)
7 Remove heating hoses (3)
8 Install in the reverse order
9 Adjust coolant to correct level
10 Perform leak check.
