14 Pneumatic lines for multi-contour seat
M40 Pneumatic pump for multi-contour seat

1. Unlock and place rear SAM control module with fuse and relay box (N10/2) to one side
The lines are left intact.







2. Route pneumatic line on existing wiring harness along frame floor system (FFS) and secure with tie straps.
Make sure that installed lines cannot be chafed nor kinked.







3. Route pneumatic line in the frame floor system (FFS), with the distributor piece on the outlet point RB7 up to the seat.
Route the pneumatic line with sufficient slack so that when the seat is adjusted the line is not chafed, bent or torn off.







4. Connect the pneumatic lines (14) on the pneumatic pump for the multi-contour seat (M40).
Plug on pneumatic lines (14) on the connections of the pneumatic pump for the multicontour seat (M40). Ensure correct seating.

5. Connect the wiring harness (15) on the pneumatic pump for the multi-contour seat (M40).







6. Connect wiring harness (15) on the back of the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) (plug-in slot 19).
Depending upon the vehicle equipment it may be that the relay in plug position F, as well as the fuses in fuse position 13 are not present, and thus have to be populated.







7. Plug in fuse carrier (17) to the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) (fuse position 19).







8. Secure rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) in place
9. Position the pneumatic pump for the multi-contour seat (M40) with foam parts in the wheel housing behind the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
