Convenience Opening of Panoramic Sliding Roof
Convenience Opening Function:
Function requirements
- No overvoltage/undervoltage
- All doors closed (state: unlocked)
- Ignition key in "0" position or removed
- "Unlock" button on transmitter key (A8/1) pressed and held
Function
The transmitter key (A8/1) sends an infrared signal to the left front IR receiver (A26/1) or the right front IR receiver (A26/2). The overhead control panel control module (N70) receives the request for "convenience opening" via CAN and (when blind is closed) actuates the sun blind motor (M24m1), which first of all retracts the sun blind of the panoramic sliding roof. Once the blinds are retracted, the "Unlock" button on the transmitter key (A8/1) must be released and then pressed again. The overhead control panel control module (N70) then activates the roof system motor (M12m1) and the panoramic sliding roof is moved into the "lift position ".
To open the panoramic sliding roof further, the "Unlock" button on the transmitter key (A8/1) must be released and pressed again. The overhead control panel control module (N70) then activates the roof system motor (M12m1) and the panoramic sliding roof is moved into the desired end position.
NOTE: The "retract blinds" and "open panoramic sliding roof" functions are only actuated for as long as the "Unlock" button on the transmitter key (A8/1) is pressed down.
The convenience opening function for the panoramic sliding roof is aborted if
- The request is no longer received via CAN, or
- The function requirements listed above are no longer satisfied.
NOTE: The convenience opening function also opens the Windows.
