GF77.20-P-3008PC Panoramic Sliding Roof Position Measurement Function
GF77.20-P-3008PC Panoramic Sliding Roof Position Measurement Function
- with CODE (413) Panoramic sliding roof
- up to Model Year 8
Direction recognition
1 Square-wave pulses from Hall sensor 1
2 Square-wave pulses from Hall sensor 2
360° One rotation of motor shaft
Position measurement
The position counter in the overhead control panel control module (N70) counts the Hall pulses, taking account of the recognized direction of rotation of the roof system motor (M12m1). The count increases when the lift position reaches the panoramic sliding roof "open" position.
The count decreases when the panoramic sliding roof closes and when the roof is in the "lift position"
Zero position
The zero position is defined as the "panoramic sliding roof closed" position, i.e. the position counter is at zero.
The zero position is set by the function of
direction recognition
The shaft of the roof system motor (M12m1) is equipped with Hall sensor 1 (M12b1) and Hall sensor 2 (M12b2).
These Hall sensors respond to the movement of the magnet and each transmits one square-wave pulse for each rotation of the motor shaft.
The overhead control panel control module (N70) reads these Hall pulses.
From the time difference between the pulses from Hall sensor 1 (M12b1) and Hall sensor 2 (M12b2) the overhead control panel control module (N70) recognizes the direction of rotation of the motor.
