Panoramic sliding roof lock-up recognition function
The overhead control panel control module (N70) receives the voltage pulses sent by the Hall sensors on the roof system motor (M12m1), Hall sensor 1 (M12b1) and Hall sensor 2 (M12b2),and uses this data for position measurement.
If no Hall sensor pulses are received for more than 0.2 seconds during panoramic sliding roof actuation the drive unit is deactivated.
Failure of both Hall sensors represents a denormalization. When denormalized the roof can only be closed in increments of t = 160 ms by means of the roof system switch (N70s1), or alternatively by using the emergency crank.
Denormalization also occurs if the panoramic sliding roof is obstructed during tilting.
Overload protection for the roof system motor (M12m1) is provided by a mechanical thermal circuit breaker.
