Storing Outside Rearview Mirror Position

Function prerequisites
- No over or undervoltage
- Terminal 15 R or 15 ON
- Driver's door open

Function
The memory feature can be used to store the three positions of the left electrically adjustable and heated outside rearview mirror (M21/1) and the right electrically adjustable and heated outside rearview mirror (M21/2). Adjustment of the outside rearview mirrors is done manually by the adjusting switch on the light switch module (S1).

For the purpose of storing an outside rearview mirror position the driver door seat adjustment switch (memory) (S91/2) (right-hand steering: passenger door seat adjustment switch (memory) (S92/2)) has three switch positions to choose from: Storage place 1,2.3 switch (S91/2s14) as well as the memory switch (S91/2s9) which is needed to initiate the storing process.

Before storing a position the storage place 1,2, 3 switch (S91/2s14) has to be set to the desired position. There are two possible key operations for the storing process:
- Press the memory switch (S91/2s9) and then the storage place 1,2,3 switch (S91/2s14) fort > 40 ms
- Firstly, press and hold the memory switch (S91/2s9) for t > 40 ms and then release it, then press the appropriate position button on the storage place 152, 3 switch (S91/2s14) within t < 3s after releasing the memory switch (S91/2s9).

The positions of the outside rearview mirrors on both the left & right are stored in the left front, door-control module (N69/1),right front, door control module (N69/2).

NOTE: If the key-related storage process is activated on the instrument cluster, the current positions of the outside rearview mirrors are stored when the key is taken out of the lock for this key number.
