Locking/Unlocking Vehicle With Interior Switch, Function

Lock/unlock Vehicle With Interior Switch Function Shown On Model 203.0

Interior switch
The signals from the interior switch are transmitted over the CAN bus by the upper control panel. In addition, the EIS[EZS] control module (N73) serves the electric interior switch function by interpreting the driver and passenger door contact signals (door open = contact closed).

Opening the driver's or front passenger's door unlocks a vehicle that has been "globally" unlocked from outside provided the interior switch is activated and the vehicle is traveling below the speed threshold for automatic locking.

This function is inoperative in "selectively" unlocked vehicles.

The following situations are possible:
- Driver's door open:
If no other door is open. full function.
- Front passenger's door open:
Only unlocking allowed.
- Locking from outside with key:
Only locking allowed.
- Unlocking from outside with key:
When no door is open, full function.
- Authentic key inserted:
Interior switch active in both directions.

NOTE: Speed threshold for doors: 15 km/h
