Equipped with Option Code 297 (Rear Door Window Blind)
Rear Door Window Blind Hook and/or Handle Broken
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that either the rear door window blind hook and/or handle has broken, the hook and handle are now available as a separate parts for replacement.
Hook Broken
1. With the aid of a small wedge if necessary, pull inward the inner paneling for the window frame of rear door (Figure 1). This will expose the top side of the hook (Figure 2).
2. Remove the screw on the top side of the hook (Figure 3, arrow) to remove damaged hook.
3. Install new hook and tighten the screw (Figure 3, arrow).
4. Press inner paneling for the window frame of rear door back into place.
Handle Broken
1. If the handle (Figure 4, arrow) is either broken or missing, this is now available as a spare part.
2. The original handle can be snapped off if broken.
3. Snap the replacement handle in place.
