1 Wiring harness for illuminated door sill molding
7 Converter
10 3-pin plug connection, converter
11 2-pin connector, lighting strip
N10/2 Rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (connect to connector 28)
S17/3 Left door contact switch
S17/4 Right door contact switch
W55 Central ground, SAM/rear
br/bl Brown/blue lead, right front door contact
br/gr Brown/gray cable, left front door contact






1 Route illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (1) with tieout to rear SAM control module (N10/2) and to rear central ground SAM (W55) along present leads and fasten (see bottom right figure).
2 Clip 1-pin connector into plug location 28 of rear SAM control module (N10/2).
3 Route ground lead to rear central ground SAM (W55) and connect.
4 Install rear SAM control module (N10/2).
5 Connect 5A fuse into plug location (N10/2f6) of rear SAM control module (N10/2).






6 Route illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (1) to rear seat along left wheelhouse and secure.
7 Route tieout of brown/blue lead to right door contact switch below insulating mat and fasten with felt strip.
8 Guide the branch-off line with the brown/gray wire (br/gr) to the left door contact switch (S17/3).






9 Expose brown/gray wire (br/gr) from left door contact switch (S17/3) 80 mm and disconnect in the center.
10 Solder brown/gray wire (br/gr) of illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (1) with the disconnected ends of the brown/gray wire (br/gr) of left door contact switch (S17/3) using a solder connector (see detail).






11 Connect supplied converter (7) with 3-pin connector (10) to illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (1).
12 Guide connection wire with 2-pin connector (11) along existing wires to the base of the Bpillar.
13 Connect converter (7) with excess length of illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (1) and secure with a felt strip on the body floor.






14 Connect 2-pin connector (11) to 2-pin counter-connector (5) of connection line for illuminated door sill molding and secure with felt at the base of the B-pillar.
15 Secure connection line for the illuminated door sill molding with felt strips (see arrows) at the rabbet of the FFS.
16 Secure brown/gray wire (br/gr) of illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (1) to existing wiring harness of left door contact switch (S17/3).
17 Repeat steps 9 - 15 for right door contact switch with branch-off line of brown/blue wire of illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (1).
