AR68.30-P-4305-09P Install Telephone Wiring Harness In Headliner







Illustrated on model 203.0 with installed rear dome lamp PTS warning display with code (220a) Parktronic system(PTS) and code (543) sun visors with illuminated mirror and code (882b) interior protection system (only with ATA )







1 Headliner
2 Cable harness, telephone
3 Sound system wiring harness (with code (810) sound system)

1. Lay new headliner (1) down on suitable clean subsurface.
2. Shim new headliner (1) with suitable clean spacers, e.g. foam rubber or Styrofoam pads.

Do not use any hard or sharp-edged objects, otherwise the covering of the new headliner (1) will be damaged.

The foam rubber and Styrofoam pads prevent the new headliner (1) from sagging when performing the following steps.

3. Route new wiring harness telephone (2) starting a front right corner of overhead control panel control module opening.

The old headliner (1) serves as a guide for routing the wiring harness.

4. Glue new telephone wiring harness (2) with approx. 10 cm long strip of adhesive tape at a distance of approx. 10 cm onto new headliner (1)

Do not cross telephone wiring harness (2) and sound system wiring harness (with code (810) sound system) and press strips of adhesive tape on sufficiently, otherwise a short circuit can result from chafing on the roof paneling
