General
The trunk lid can be opened with a button in the trunk.
The following functions are used:
- CL open (SN1)
- Open trunk lid (HD-AS or S2)
When the button is actuated the two signals are switched one after another with time delay.
Firs the CL opens, then the trunk lid lock is actuated.
Button illumination:
- Color green.
- Flashing frequency approx. 1 Hz
- Switching on by opening trunk
- Switch-on duration after closing trunk approx. 60 min.
Function requirements
- The battery must be connected and charged (operating voltage range for emergency trunk release: 9V to 15.5V)
Caution!
When the battery is removed/disconnected (e.g.: when vehicle is shut down temporarily) remove striker eye from trunk lid lock for safety reasons.
The function "Lock trunk lid separately" (90° position for trunk lid lock) is no longer present after the trunk lid emergency release is installed.
Function check
- Open trunk lid (the button illumination should flash)
- Close trunk lid lock, if required pull tappet switch
(trunk lid remains open)
- Actuate trunk lid inner button
when CL is closed:
- CL opens
- Trunk lid lock actuation
with CL open:
- Trunk lid lock actuation
If lock is blocked actuation is repeated twice (after approx. 10's and approx. 20's)
