DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries.
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

1 Disconnect ground cable of battery

2 Remove trunk lining on right-hand side
3 Unscrew screws (1)
4 Rotate resonance body (2) forward
5 Disconnect connector (3)
6 Remove resonance body (2)
7 Remove screws (4).
8 Remove bass module speaker (H4/17) to the front
9 Install in the reverse order
10 Perform basic programming

NOTE: Only if no quiescent current retention device has been used.

11 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
12 Check for proper function
